What is an Article V Convention?

Because the fifty states don't meet together on a regular basis like Congress does, they have to schedule a special meeting to discuss proposing amendments to the Constitution. That meeting is referred to as an
"Article V Convention." It has also been referred to as a "Convention of States" or a "Convention for Proposing Amendments." Path To Reform uses the phrase "Article V Convention" because a convention of this type is authorized under Article V of the United States Constitution.
